That guy isn't going to be a informant for very long if you keep treating him like that.

Yeah, that part was weird. Does the informant record these audio tapes, then usually play hard to get? At a certain point I swear the informant basically said "Ah well, you're a busy guy, just choke me out and find the tape yourself".

Like, what?

This is maybe a bit of a stretch, but I don't think that these side ops are canon to the story, exist solely to give people more to do, and thus don't have to make perfect sense. Maybe? I dunno.

Yeah, the example mission in this trailer seemed like a generic "find the intel, then escape" mission that was kinda devoid of any unique or interesting elements (by which I mean it seemed like a Splinter Cell game OH SNAP).

Also, is this the first time Snake has infiltrated a U.S. base and shot U.S. soldiers? I guess the Genome Soldiers in MGS1 were technically the U.S. soldiers at that base being mindcontrolled by Psycho Mantis or something, but that's the only other time I can think of. Granted, I'm not very familiar with the portable MGS games.

The informant guy says the soldiers "don't work for Langley", but I wasn't clear on whether that meant they're U.S. soldiers who are being misinformed on where their orders are really coming from, or if the whole U.S. base is a ruse and it's actually a base for some other faction (XOF?) posing as the U.S. military.

There were definitely CIA agents you could shoot and kill in Peace Walker.

Umm.. This is almost as bad as the MGS3 re-release video they showed. It showed a bunch of features I'm pretty sure you could do in MGS4. Nothing special really. I'm sure there's more in store, I'm just not sure who this video is aimed at.

I like how the blood on the lens is realistically rendered instead of the usual jam we see in most games.

I still don't want it. I'm glad the alert slow mo can be turned off. Hopefully the lens effects can too.

No, definitely not. It didn't occur to me that there isn't a health bar.

Totally scripted showing off the game-play elements. Will be curious to see how it actually plays out.

It's looking great! And i love how strong winds sounds.

It does look a little easy but i give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it's one of the earliest mission. After he has the tape it's way too much action and Snake can eat too many bullets.
