Coco Joins Up With Team Ghost for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

This seems so desperate.

Unfortunately, this doesn't surprise me in the least. Boobs and explosions! That's what Ghost Recon fans want! How about you go fuck yourself and give me a god damn tactical shooter. Oh wait, it's 2012. It's depressing that I have to rely on Kickstarter (Project Takedown) for a shooter that isn't a completely over-the-top, Hollywood inspired, blockbuster shitfest. The fact that they're even attempting to bring in the type of audience that would fall for such a ridiculous marketing scheme says it all. The good ol' days of Ubisoft are long gone. They've butchered Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon.

I love and loathe this generation of gaming. I feel like an old man on his porch complaining about how video games have changed, yet I'm only 23.

I`m from the UK never heard of her, had to ask the missus who she is/was.

I have pretty much every single Ghost Recon game, i have both x360 and PC versions of Advanced Warfighter 1-2, i have the original Ghost Recon on PC retail disc that i bought a LONG time ago, i have all of the Ghost recon games on Steam, i have played a fair amount of GR.

This crap should have no place in GR, i have had a feeling that this Future Soldier game was going to end up bad, i patiently waited for the beta with my copy of Splinter Cell, i usually trade my x360 games in after a while, i hung on for the beta, it never arrived as the game was delayed while more polish was added, the beta was delayed soooo much i got rid of the X360 Splinter Cell, picking up a cheap copy in a steam sale for the PC

The beta is out now and still looks rough as hell, now it just looks like the marketing men are trying to milk as much sunken cash back as possible, any way they can, its quite sad.

Dont worry guys, right when I felt like I was about to vomit, I hit the mute button and suddenly I was able to watch the video without a problem.

I was thinking Ghost might be ok and worth picking up... after seeing this trailer, I think I will skip it.

At what point in a marketing meeting did this seem like a good idea? If there was even a meeting about this crass attempt at advertising. Shit it's as if they asked a 13 year old boy to write this crap.

I can see people not liking this commercial. I didn't like it myself, it actually had the opposite effect on me than intended: it turned me off on the game.

That said, I fucking hate how the internet turns people into god damn asshats. Why insult the woman in the video on a personal level? If you find someone unattractive, just shut the fuck up about it, you don't HAVE to write an essay about it online just because you can hide behind anonymity.

I played the demo and that game was decent from what little I played. So I agree this was not something Ubi needed to do.

My guess is Ubi had wanted a rapper to endorse their product for various reasons, but then they found Coco was available. At first they might have thought that would be a good idea. Turned out it wasn't. I would have been indifferent if some rapper had done a video like that, but seeing Coco just made me sad.

Watching this video game me a good dose of both arousal and embarrassment.

It's disappointing that Ubisoft goes from that neat 30 minute movie-like advertisement to this rubbish.

I'm fairly certain that she is in on the joke, based on what I know about Ice T. Coco T loves gratuitous stupid shit like this in the best possible way, so that's the likely the slant they had in mind when putting this together.

That said, marketing to the gaming community with a video like this - even if we are in on the joke - makes us look pretty bad. I don't really give a shit though, since we already look pretty bad most of the time.
