Dead Island Has Gone Gold

Never been a zombie game fan.

Ive been waiting for this game

I can't wait until I hear a bunch of people complain that the touching story elements were never delivered.

Maybe i'm thinking of the wrong game but wasn't this originally conceived as a facebook game?

Either way I'm looking forward to it.

The zombie fad never quite clicked for me. This game looks interesting none-the-less. Something to do before Skyrim breaks out.

Will there be pills?

Zombie thongs are the best thongs.  I guess. 
 
Also, those palm branches must be extra strong to support that guy's weight.

I'm a bit worried about graphics.. I started playing Call of Juarez: the Cartel and the graphics are crap both games are done by Techland Sp. z o.o.

Wait, does "zombie bikinis" mean that the zombies are wearing bikinis, or that the bikinis themselves are zombies. I'd like to see how the latter would work.

Once that dude spoke I got a BAD feeling that this is not going to turn out well.

This looks so uninteresting. They should not have made that first trailer, because now I will never enjoy how stupid the game actually is.

When are we gonna kill something other than zombies ...

I didn't think there could be a cast of character worse than L4D2, I was wrong.

I want to give this game a shot, but this is pretty much the worst collection of characters Ive seen in years.  I don't want to play as any of these people.

sold. I'm buying this game.

If it's anything like their last game Call of Jaurez: The Cartel, i'm gonna avoid this game like the plague.

It looks like borderlands but in paradise and with zombies. 360 version for me.

So Left 4 Dead: Island Edition then?

I was really stoked about this game when that first trailer came out, but then I found out it's not really a survival horror game, but yet another Left 4 Dead co-op clone with zombies in it, and my expectations suddenly dropped-- a lot. I still wanna try the demo at some point to get a better understanding of it, though.

Not what I was getting at. A jock, a rapper and a receptionist, everyone is going to fight over the Bodyguard.

Just a reminder: This is only paid attention to because 1. It had a good FMV trailer that had nothing to do with the game, and 2. "ZOMBIES LOL!!" is now a meme.

I god damn adore that first trailer. I don't know if I can enjoy this game regardless of quality after seeing it.

there's a 10min or so video preview/dev video out there that shows you how this is not a L4D clone. it's more adventure-y with RPG-ish elements in it. plus the zombie shooting.

Taking bets that this will make 74 or lower on metacritic.

I don't see how you balance this with the previous awesome trailer. Nothing I've seen so far about this game makes sense. Even the gameplay elements I've heard about barely make sense together.

Despite popular opinion, I'm really looking forward to this game. Open-world zombie action with my friends sounds like a great time regardless of the jank, and I'm kind of digging the mix of Borderlands, Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising. Other than The Cartel, the previous Call of Juarez games haven't been all that bad and they've been focusing their development efforts on Dead Island for some time now.

The emotions conveyed in that earlier trialer are completely absent here :(

Forgotten how nce that song is, but those few bars at the end were relaxing

I'm optimistic, although I don't know about you but I'll be getting it, and playing it, in a dry period of releases next year.
