E3 2009 Demo: Halo 3: ODST

I'm surprised to see no cover mechanic.

Not impressing... but then again Halo never was to me. I liked the idea of going back in time and experience it again to piece together what happen though...

The flashback missions are great (reminds me of Halo 2's simultaneous missions), and I like being a bit more everysoldier than Master Chief could be.

Looks pretty decent.  Hope the story won't get needlessly convoluted.

first games pistol was the.best.weapon.ever.
the worst part of the halo series was the end of the story..cant wait.

I hope the multiplayer is not more of the same.

I really hope this game is good. The graphics look improved, and your character talks during actual gameplay.I'm shocked.

Why are all the non-halo "Looks lame but I never liked it anyway" people commenting?

I dunno what the hell you all are talking about...this is making me really stoked...for one, the voice acting done by firefly people is a huge fuck yeah!  And for 2, the gameplay looks almost call of dutyesque.  I for one, loved this demo.

i like who the made the new silianced pistol like the one out of halo 1. that was a awsome pistol before they nerfed it.

all round thou it looks like a neat package and i am excited about halo for a change

Awesome stuff, I like the hole sandbox idea, SMG also looks pretty badass, I can't wait to get it on Sept. 22nd!

Ok, Halo was great, but this looks awesome. Better even. I guess its overall experience comes down to how long the story campaign will be. The beginning, the guns; it looks a lot more fluid on the shooting aspect. Zooming in on a decent looking pistol while firing it semi-automatic. Love that feeling. Just looks really good, surprisingly. I don't think every (or any) part will be amazing by todays standards though, just a whole lot of fun to play. 

Really like what they're doing with the story.

This demo was really bad to be honest. But the game looks really nice, even for Halo 3.

can i have a mouse and keyboard please? turning using a joypad still takes years.

Sooooo, is this pistol like Halo 2's except with a scope?

I reserved it, and I dont regret it yet, but if what I hear is true, and it is only a 3-5 hour story I will be very upset.

I'll play it but as a gamer, I'm beyond Halo.

I like where they are taking this game in the Halo universe.  It's about time we get to learn more about the people fighting with master chief, rather than just being the one man army.  And it looks like all the characters have their own personality, too, which is a great improvement already.

the ODST were always my favorite part of Halo 2. I'm going to dig this game.
