E3 2018: A Shocking Ten Minutes of Marvel's Spider-Man

This looks like great arcade action fun. But was expecting it to be a tat bit smoother.

This looks utterly phenomenal, and I'm so glad they let Shocker have a quilted costume.

Seems pretty slick.

Does Spiderman have a no killing policy? Hurling a car door into someone's face might result in more than a concussion.

@treesplease: He does. Which the game doesn't seem to adhere to at all. In other footage he's regularly flinging/kicking dudes off buildings.

I can let a car door slide, as it may do some serious damage but not quite kill a beefy enough henchman if smacked with it flat-on. But a fall from a building will kill just about anyone.

Unless Otto/Superior Spider-Man is pulling off a pretty convincing Parker impersonation, there should be some last minute webs going out to catch people.

@robo: It seems like sometimes he'll throw out a web to save someone and sometimes he doesn't. I guess he's okay with killing some people.

Swinging looks like a ton of fun. City looks great.

Combat seems okay. BOY does the enemy AI seem bad. Could just be the demo not tryina pose too much a challenge, but man it makes the combat come off as way more boring that it probably could be.

Dialogue during the Shocker fight is top notch though lol.

Spiderman combat is finally somewhat fluid.

My real worry is whether or not they’ve recorded enough dialogue for Spidey. I can already envision fighting bad guy group #143 and hearing the same “sleep tight” or “let me take that- you might hurt yourself!” or “you guys all picked the same outfit? How embarrassing! Let’s go to the police station so you can change.” or whatever other generic Spider-Man sounding lines over and over and over.

I surely hope Toei's spider-man makes an appearance. I mean who doesn't want Spidey piloting a giant mech!

In general, looks pretty cool. I thought that Shocker fight looked pretty tedious though.
