E3 2019: Songs of Conquest Promises Classic Adventure Strategy

Never thought i'd be into something by the Goat Simulator people, but this does seem to evoke Heroes of Might & Magic 2 in some great ways. Not quite on-board with the music though, I hope it'll be a serious attempt at the genre and not another parody.

I always wondered if anyone will try to have a go at a Heroes of Might and Magic style of game other than Ubisoft. Heroes 2 is maybe my favorite of the series so it's great to see that they're using it as a reference point.

I'm definitely seeing the HoMM influence. That gameplay style is unique, though it has gotten rather stale over the years. I'm hoping someone revitalize it with some fresh ideas.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think this is just published by Coffee Stain (the Goat Simulator people), but developed by Lavapotion, who describe this as their first game on their website.
