Nothing could be as godawful as Perfect Dark Zero.
 
As much as I would have instantly paid out of my pocket for a Goldeneye XBLA release, I never played the original Perfect Dark which was apparently the decent successor to Goldeneye. I am still going to get this, but I'm hesitant due to how crap PDZ was.

total nostalgia game, it has auto aim cause the controls sucked, it still doesn't look good even with a revamp, and anything good has been used by newer games by now.... It was a cool game because on an N64 this and golden eye were all you had.... not to say if you like to revisit the past you shouldn't buy it, (i bought Castlevania 1 on the gba to play it again, but i got sick of it quick, the newer Castlvania's do it a lot better....), my advice is if you didn't play it on N64 i disagree with the guy in the video, don't buy it! 
if you think you remember it fondly then go ahead, but the revamp might be enough update that you don't hate it, but i guarantee you remember it more fondly than it holds up.

Health bar? havent seen that in years. 

Wow, that took me back. I do not have an Xbox but it seem that the older set( like me) will enjoy this.

I was one of the few people who like PDZ.  By default, it was awful, but with the right settings it was tons of fun.  I spent so much time playing Gamebattles.

I was initially interested in this, but I'm afraid the interview lost me when he didn't talk down to me like I was five and show unconvincing excitement.
 
Seriously though, it's glad to see that someone who looks generally interested in a classic as this is working on it, rather than someone trying to sell me a game.   Looks good.

Man.... good memories of all the hours with my friend on split screen as a kid. The different types of sims were so fun to team up against!

Klobb has been in gaming industry (Rare/Nintendo) for years, he knows his stuff. 
I remember Donkey Kong Country promo VHS tape sent from Nintendo, 
during interviews guess who was explaining mechanics of the game lol, 
fun trivia facts, - one of the characters in DKC is called after him, there is also level called "Klobber Karnage" hehe. 
and of course Goldeneye weapon is named after good ol' Klobb ^_~ 
 
if you like shooters and you're not be going to buy this - you cannot call yourself a real gamer.

If I hadn't seen the review yet I would have been weirded out about all the people liking the guy etc, but having watched it I must admit that he certainly has the energy and enthusiasm needed for this industry.

As for the game, I only played it a few times, I did complete Golden Eye on the third setting, but I never got this 1, so seeing how it looks and all that, It's definitely worth getting now.

hmmm,  I wanna play this...

Really need to get round to playing the original...but looks really well updated and well worth it!

I'd just like to point out that the reversed dataDyne logo in the middle of the screen combines with a background building to create what looks like 'Gb'.

This is the end of me playing any other games. The day this is released on LIVE, i think i will literally only play this 24/7 for the rest of my life.

Ken Lobb is about as cool as Perfect Dark.  And Perfect Dark was the coolest game on the N64.

The Klobb was my favourite pistol in Goldeneye. Now I know where it comes from.
