Grand Theft Auto V's Freemode Events Update Is Out Now

Finally, the GTA x Bloodborne mash-up we've been waiting for.

So might just be a guess but based on the PS4 and XONE at the bottom of the trailer this is only for current GEN?

Rockstar sure does know how to make some marketing material - don't know if this would get me back in personally, but cool stuff nonetheless.

@kayrack: yep, they basically confirmed the previous gen would become unstable with this update. It sounds like the same is true for future updates too...

I never really got into GTA online since it was basically just a multiplayer menu that you could drive around in and the modes weren't that great. Maybe I'll give it another try with this update.

I just finished the story of MGS V last night, and today GTA Online has a big revamp. Video games in 2015 are doing pretty alright.

@kibles: No, it's just adding events to free roam mode so it's more than a glorified lobby.

Yeah, and it actually has done quite a good job of muting the trolliness of players. Everybody's so busy preparing for the events, nobody is focusing on wanton killing.

I had hoped for some ingame banks you could rob instead of doing the heists, this wasn't really what i wanted :/

Please do a quick look of this, I don't think you guys have ever even done a GTA:Online quicklook, it really is a whole different game.

I agree. This needs a QUICK LOOK UPDATE.

Looks great, kind of how I played RDR multiplayer. Don't think I'll reinstall it, but still worthwhile if you're still playing it.
