Gonna be fun dodging spoilers until the PC version. Definitely looking forward to the game though, it looks fun. Seems like they removed the GTA IV driving though from what I could see in another video (though obviously I don't know for sure), which is a shame.

It seems like they're on point with music again. If the story lives up maybe I'll be able to forgive Rockstar fro GTAIV.

Wow! Holy crap! They neither need nor deserve to need your forgiveness, get over yourself duder!
Sure if you were going to GTA IV thinking it was going to be the same feel of silliness and lots of humour I can understand some of your disappointment but they did something very interesting with Nico and GTA IV.

Although I will say I did miss the silliness and laughs I won't say that it was a disappointment. And FAR and away from needing your forgiveness, even if you disliked it immensely you could tell right from the get-go that GTA IV was a stellar effort and well delivered in their vision and direction.

Michael's line of ''A few weeks ago, I was happily sulking next to my swimming pool'' sounds like a messy edit or something. Either that or it was just a really poor delivery of the line.

Yea, sounds like "sulking" was dubbed in or something. Didn't really notice until it was pointed out.

Pretty sure it's a blend of IV's (weighty) and Midnight Club's (arcadey) driving models. I'll be bummed too if they gave in to all the complainers that never learned to drive in IV.

Oooh, that could be cool. I just loved the way the cars felt in IV. Real weighty, and you couldn't just hold down the accelerator when cornering.

Nah, I'm on a media blackout now. Rockstar have already showed an uncharacteristic amount of this game. I was pretty surprised they put out that pretty long gameplay video because I don't think they've ever done that with previous games, always 'movie-like' trailers.

Gonna check out the PS3 digital pre-order price now.

I really wish they had announced a PC version releasing at the same time. I trust Rockstar to make sure this runs well on the consoles, but goddamn, having an SSD is so awesome.

I do and don't, RDR ran quite well on console but GTA IV ran badly, really badly.

RDR ran a lot better than GTA IV though so here's hoping they have it running nicely, they seem to be using the Max Payne variation of their engine so if that ran well on console it might be a good indication, but who knows how good it'll work when stretched to the huge open world they've built.

A lot of people might be worried after how Saints Row IV turned out as well. It'll be interesting to see anyway.

Rockstar has always used their own inhouse engine for all the games that have come out since Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis, the RAGE engine (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine)

Yeah I know, just saying Saints Row is hardly giving people confidence in what future open world games will turn out like on the current gen systems. As long as it runs as good as RDR, it should be fine.

Oh hell, not on PC, do think I will be one of those designated cry babies. Well maybe not. I just don't need a game from Rockstar, they barely not ruined Max Payne 3.

Of all things, I am thinking of Saints Row 4 (humor and satire) on PC (never bought a Saints Row game before) But I'm not psyched for this game, it's GTA again. I just be hoping that one guy will get capped like he deserves and that the other's daughter gets pregnant while he's off killing security guards. It's just with more crap added.

Waiting for that steam winter sale!...

Long live Vice City!!!! (perversely enough)

@crosstheatlantic: The catch is that they are really awesome at making trailers. But it should still be a good game.

So do I need to pay extra for the textures or...what?

Also isn't anisotropic filtering basically free? Can't we get a 4 or 8 times AF at least in almost 2014?
