Persona 3 Portable Hits North America This July

No thanks. I played and beat Person 3 FES. I have no reason to play this.

Pretty sweet trailer/opening, I'm tempted to get a psp with all the great games it has on it now.

" This is cool, but i would  STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST anyone playing p3portable as their first time through the game. The size limitation of the psp umd disk meant that all of persona 3's content could not fit. Consequentially, all or almost all of the 3d rendered in-engine scenes have been removed, such as the funny things that happen on social links. Those events will still happen, but all you see is a static background and talking anime head illustrations. So think of all the funniest scenes you saw in the endurance run. Most of those were based around compelling scenes that were great because of the on-screen actions coupled with the great writing. Now all you will have is the writing. 
 
Now that being said. As i have played through persona 3 on the ps2, i am psyched about this release and it was the deciding factor that led to me buying a psp. I am super-worried however that this release will turn off alot of people to persona, becuase its going to lose a significant chunk of its unique personality in this port.

The Persona 3 universe is the only place where it is a good thing to shoot yourself in the head with a gun.

Definitely going to play as the female protagonist

I really don't get all the P3 love. I beat FES (put in 120 hours into it through a fuckton of unnecessary grinding) and IMO P4 is better in every single aspect: the characters, the music, the plot, the eccentricities. Why is P3 getting all this attention while P4 sits out in the cold?

I promised myself that if this came out on DS then i would get me one... too bad. There have been quite many games that interest me on DS lately.

Screw those guys! I'm going to buy Persona 3 for the 3rd time because I LOVE ATLUS GAMES!

That trailer is fucking awesome, got my imported copy at home in Sweden, gonna play it when I get home from vacation
 
Also, Persona 3 continues to have the best music in the series, not that P4 had bad music, just not as good
