I wish they remastered older games and not the ones that I played a few months ago.

Slightly annoyed by the lack of the original Borderlands. Could really have done with that. I know it's not directly about Handsome Jack, but it introduces you to the main support cast of the second game.

Why wouldn't they just throw in the first game as well? Seriously why wouldn't they?

Really wish I could bring my 360 save to the PS4 version like Diablo 3 allowed. But I guess I'll have to rely on my PS3/Vita saves which, unfortunately, don't have all the cool stuff my 360 save has.

Shame they didn't include the first Borderlands either.

Good. I'm working through the BL2 DLC with a buddy now, so this'll probably be how we play The Pre-Sequel.

Never even finished first borderlands. Heard stellar things about Borderlands 2, but not Pre-Sequel. I know this will be $60, but with all the DLC included, it definitely sounds like a TON of content.

borderlands 2 was a pretty amazing and addictive game. the Pre-sequel was not as good in comparison kind of by a lot, you could tell pretty easily it wasn't made by the original studio

Ugh - mainly would be looking to play the Pre-Sequel if they priced it reasonably since it hasn't come out on the new consoles. But I'm guessing slapping BL2 in there is how they'll justify charging $60 for a bunch of last gen content.

This looks like a good deal, but I pass on this.

Translates to, "We couldn't optimize this game for even 30fps on new consoles, so we've stopped trying and decided to push this subpar bullshit out so you motherfuckers can pay us for the same games TWICE, instead of using our resources for more original titles."

Not interested in the slightest. This trend of re-releasing modern games needs to stop.

Even if they would have included the original borderlands, it still would'nt be old enough to justify re-releasing it.

I'm fine with this. It's been long enough since I've played borderlands that I wouldn't mind going back. Besides I never played much of the DLC and it looked pretty good. Especially the Tiny Tina Bunkers and Bad Asses DLC. Didn't even touch that one. And haven't touched the presequal either so plenty of new content for me.

I haven't played through BL2 or Pre-sequel. I played the first BL local co-op with my brother and it was really great. This is a strong potential buy for me, especially if it is going to save shopping for all that DLC on the side.

@re_player1: because remaking first game requires some actual work that translates into money. And you can kinda guess that the intent is not using more money, but making it.

Oh. So it's Next Gen!? So we will have to wait another... what?... 7 years? :)

Once their done with... battle born? or whatever it is, we'll see the new BL, hopefuly less like BL 2 and more like the first or the PS.

Is there dlc that removes all of Handsome Jack's dialogue? I would pay for that.

I am OK with paying $60 for this. I waited on playing the Pre-Sequel because I knew this was coming. Surprised the first Borderlands isn't in this.

@neau: Why so jaded? I like Borderlands but couldn't stand playing it (free with PS+) on that absolute dinosaur of a PS3. Now they're offering a true next-gen experience on the PS4. Now before you go: "It's not next-gen!!!", it's Borderlands and anyone rebuying it knows what they're getting into,.

People have forgotten that these games ran terribily (and looked) on 10 year old hardware. Hardware that launched in 2005/2006 was basically '04/05 specced hardware. Now they're offering us a way to (re)play those games that shouldn't have launched on dinosaur hardware. You can always decide to not buy it, as with anything else. A nice holdover till Borderlands 3 launches.

I've played both games and I don't feel like playing them again but this seems like a decent deal for those who have yet to jump in.

This would have been great if they would have added the original Borderlands as well. Missed opportunity. All the games in the same package! That would have been awesome. I think publishers reliance on people not having old consoles to sell these packages is starting to look ridiculous. Ever since I heard Gat out of Hell was just a download code in the box, I've begun thinking that these packages are just a complete and overt cash in. I mean geez, they could have put Saints Row 3 and 4 in there. It's not like they are using the disc space. Unbelievable!

I am waiting for a Mass Effect 1,2,3 collection on next gen with all the DLC for all games and the MP from ME3 with updated multiplayer modes and characters.....maybe even a competitive multiplayer included.

The need to make the characters in the main games unlockable for multiplayer.

Cant wait for the Bioshock remake announcement. /s

I remember news of this being leaked months ago. Much as I enjoyed B1 and B2, fuck replaying those games. Both of them got incredibly tedious and dull even by the end of a single playthrough and alllll of the dlc is total shit (and I bought most of it) save for the zombie one of the first game and the dnd one of the second.

Why in the world would they not add the first game?

Good stuff. Never got around to play Borderlands 2, but look forward to this package.

Didn't they specifically say they didn't want to put out a Borderlands game on next gen stuff back when pre-sequel was first announced because they felt like people would expect too much from it?
I guess they gave up on whatever that thought process was.

I think this is how I feel, as well. I just roll my eyes at the announcement of an "HD Remaster" of a game that came out 2 months ago. But, if there were re-releases of Demon's Souls or Dark Souls (first ones that come to mind), I'd be all over it. Maybe I just enjoyed those games more than anything else that's being redone.

And no one was in any way surprised.

I am starting to get pretty tired of the 'give-a-game-new-graphics-and-sell-it-again' trend. The consoles have been out well over a year now. Stop it please.

Borderlands graphic novel artstyle kind of hid last gen system limitations so a remastering of this series in particular feels really weird/pointless to me. Have fun if you have a new console and haven't played them I guess - Is there anybody out there who falls under both of those categories? Again, utterly pointless.
