After watching the Dragon Age II trailer, this just doesn't quite cut it. Still, hope this game has local multiplayer and is awesome.

They shoulda KOTOR'd it.  There is zero suspense left in anything to do with trilogy timeline.

And now, a gameplay video!  Sometimes I wonder who at publishers still thinks that releasing a CG trailer is that great of a marketing tool - I mean, we don't play the trailers. 

The mere fact that this is made by Snowblind makes me hopeful, but why designers refuse to extend the universe, rather than sticking solely to the trilogy time-line, I'll never get. The old wars with Sauron, or even before, would be far more interesting to me than yet another story during the trilogy timeline.

To nerd it up a bit, freezing someone into a block of ice seems a bit extreme for the magic in LOTR. Then again, the movies did have Gandalf and Saruman flinging each other across the tower with magic.

A trailer that removes any interest i already dindt have in the game.

They should have had a war in south the weathers much nicer down there i bet.

If they hadn't used the LoTR name (and movie soundtrack, incidentally), I'd never have figured this ugly piece of shit was meant to be related to it.  
 
I love the books and it pisses me off that they insist on releasing crappy stuff related to it, just to take a little of the profit the movies amassed.

Looks cool, but what does this have to do with lord of the rings? Elves, dwarves and orcs isn't enough of a connection these days.

I wanna see gameplay tho, need to decide if my regular role as support/ranged is a good option because other wise I will be chopping shit up with a Dwarf. Good times.

From what I've seen it's a bit more cartoony ingame.. The trailer is ok and a lot of people do like seeing CG.

Ye on LOTR lore can be made so much games, that even don't fall in to LOTR original story.

Generic dwarf and elf, I'm okay with that, but there are like a dozen wizards. And a lot don't care for the war between Sauron and the 'good guys', but since when did the games of Lotr do a good job with the story? Although I understand that they had to put it in to give the gameplay more variety.

the action in this is ridiculously boring and wooden, I thought the trailer before this one was much better. Last time I checked orcs don't just stand still for you to kill them.

Uh... Somehow I expected more..
