And there's finally confirmation on GB that Jess and Jeff both have legs, with Jeff rocking the same good shirt I wore for this (backwards).

I live in Brookfield and Galloping Ghost is, I think, the crown jewel of this awesome little town. For living literally 2 minutes away, I don't go nearly enough. Doc, the owner, owns a lot of businesses in the town actually and has them under the GG banner. He's a cool dude. I used to go to the Galloping Ghost gym that's right down the block. Two of the actors from MK2 taught classes there. They still might, I'm not really sure.

I can't wait to watch this video though. Hope you duders had a blast and got to check out other parts of the town!

It's completely understandable but also kind of a shame that a bunch of the machines seem to have something wrong with them. I guess it makes for a more authentic arcade experience though!

Wow, I need to visit this place. Maybe we'll plan a trip to Chicago when my daughter is a bit older.

Also, the arcade is awesome, but the Studebaker from The Muppet Movie?! That's so exciting. I would love to see that.

I´m almost 40 but have maybe seen 2 (real - not MAME etc) arcade machines in my live. They just weren´t a thing in (rural) Germany.

I plan to revisit GG probably next Spring. Living in Milwaukee, it's not that bad of a drive. Everyone, if given a chance, should check it out. But make a day of it.

I met the guy who created the comic that became Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. He used to come in my local comic shop when I was in high school. There was a Cadillac in the Sega Cd game.

@voidburger I believe the Homestar Runner duck was the dragon from Adventure on the Atari 2600. Really fascinating place though. So many games I haven't played in ages, and more I've never seen in person. Now to figure out how and when to get to Chicago.

Also, this was a nice preview of seeing some of the crew together in person. Looking forward to next week.

At 5:32 you can hear Colossus doing his special move in the X-Men arcade game. That sound effect is forever burned in my memory like none other.

Only downside of having cabinets right next to each other is you can't see the artwork on the sides. They should have qr codes on every machine linking to an arcade wiki page with the cabinet imagery

As with a few people here I live about 40 minutes away and don't visit nearly enough. It's one of our favorite places to go when people visit, but with pandemic stuff we haven't gone in a while. Last I was there was about 3 years ago, and it's really great to see it's expanded so much even in those 3 years! It is a treasure that I hope never goes away.

Not to nitpick but I believe shooting the video at at 1/60 shutter speed would eliminate the flicker on most of these CRTs.
