I liked AC: Unity and AC: Rouge from last year. I'm also excited for this one. I think there fun games and enjoy playing them.

Man, Assassin's creed sure is silly.

Man. Even 3 and Unity, the worst games of the series, seemed interesting at reveal. This just looks boring. The best thing you can say about this is that you'll MAYBE be able to see what Unity would have been if Ubisoft hadn't fucked up.

Unity was really good, returned the series back the large city format. Excited for this one.

I'm really digging the setting and look of the world but I'm also pretty sure that I need a break from this type of game. I've "unlocked" far too many towers over the past few years.

Just bring back the platforming tombs and churches god damn it.

Let's hope it works! Then maybe we can even start talking about whether it'll be good or not!

It's bizarre to me that Ubisoft continues to whore out these preorder bonuses and bloated membership packages, despite the constant consumer pushback. Their analytics no doubt show benefits to their bottom line, but from a longevity perspective, they are digging their own graves.

Looks cool. The historical detail and spectacle always makes these games worth playing... Unity was a gorgeous open world even if the writing kinda sucked.

At this rate, they can just do a WW1 or WW2 AssCreed game next year, and then THE FUTURE!?

For some reason, the characters have a Clockwork Orange type vibe to them. The random acts of violence help too :)

The British colloquialisms seem so forced....

The story of this game (from what little I know) is interesting enough to make me curious about it. The next step for me to want to buy it is if the PC version works right away. If not, I'll probably forget about it because there will be plenty of other games to play in late October.

What garbage music they had to go with that trailer. The only good part of that trailer was the first few seconds showing off the Victorian Era of things and than it went down hill.

Also I have not played any of the AC games since the first one. Is it even about Assassins v. Templars anymore? What little story bits sound like it is 1900's Robin Hood + Murder.

Lol I almost added "Come at me" to the end of my comment. It can be hard to be an open AC fan on the internet.

You know for a game with "twin protagonists" there is a distinctive lack of one of those twins in that trailer, and on that box art. Guess even if the creatives at Ubisoft are getting better, the marketing team will always be sleazy marketing types. Oh well...

I've really had enough Assassin's Creed for a long while.

I wonder if revealing the game with gameplay as opposed to a cgi trailer is a reaction to the poor reception of the last game. As if they feel like they need to prove something with this one.

All I want is to be able to run parallel to an object like a fence or a table without my guy automatically climbing the damned thing. That shit drove me up the walls in Unity

Cautiously optimistic as I love the setting and period. However Unity left a nasty taste in my mouth. Assassins Creed was once a purchase with no question, but I will wait for impressions on this.

Also, screw preorder bonuses and day one DLC.

Yea, I know every big publisher does this, but it doesn't make it any less ridiculous. It's like they want to constantly remind me of why I don't buy modern 60 dollar games anymore.

Why's it gotta be a big deal? Just wait and see if it's any good. If it's good, play it. There's no reason to jump down anyone's throat over something you don't know much of anything about yet.
