    Warfathers represent the Tainted Coil's elite hierarchy units. They are upgradeable ranged infantry and can spawn lesser units.

    Warfathers can be spawned at the Tainted Coil's stage once it's been upgraded to tier 1. Warfathers are the middle of the hierarchy for the Tainted Coil, between Battle Nuns and Overblessers. Warfathers are capable of spawning Skull Rakers, Pain Lifters, Scream Wagons and Superior Battle Nuns, which spawn  wherever the Warfather happens to be on the battlefield by way of their double team. Superior Warfathers can be spawned by double teaming with an Overblesser. The Superior Warfather can spawn Superior versions of Skull Rakers, Pain Lifters and Scream Wagons, as well as spawning the same superior Battle Nuns as a regular Warfather.
     
    A Warfather appears in a cutscene with  Doviculus in which they discuss the return of Succoria.
