Overview

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is a turn-based strategy game developed by Flashback Games and The Lordz Games Studio, and published by Slitherine Games using the Panzer Corps engine. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon feature a large branching campaign with over 30 scenarios plus an additional 5 tutorial missions which are set in the Second War for Armageddon. Players get to lead the Imperial Guard's Armageddon Steel Legion with Space Marines support alongside Commissar Yarrick against the Ork invasion force led by the Warboss Ghazghkull Thraka. The campaign also includes a complex plot with engaging story line told through voice-overs by well known characters in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, as well as units that can gain experience and carry over from mission to mission. The game features over 300 different units from a variety of factions, multiple weapon systems per unit, 20 different unit stats, and gameplay mechanics such as terrain, cover, and morale effects. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon also includes multiplayer using its PBEM++ system and an in-game scenario editor.

Untold Battles

Untold Battles is a free add-on pack with 5 new scenarios of various mission types. The add-on allows players to control the Orks for the first time against AI in 3 of the new scenarios. The scenarios included are all standalone so players can choose to play any battle at any time.

Vulkan's Wrath

Vulkan's Wrath is the first expansion pack which allows players to play as the Salamanders chapter of the Space Marines across a campaign of 10 new missions, split into three acts.

Angels of Death

Angels of Death is the second expansion pack giving player control of the Blood Angels chapter of the Space Marines in a campaign of 10 missions in three acts.

Glory of Macragge

Glory of Macragge is the third expansion pack where players control the Ultramarines chapter, with a campaign of 11 new missions across three acts.

Ork Hunters

Ork Hunters is the fourth expansion pack and takes places shortly after the end of the Second War for Armageddon. With an Imperial victory on Armageddon, there is still much to be done as surviving Orks that have no left the world have spread their spores into the jungles on Armageddon. These spores have survived and grown into feral Orks, which pose a threat to Armageddon. Inquisitor Horst has been sent to Armageddon to help purge the world of any remaining Orks. In this expansion, players control the Ork Hunters and other Steel Legion units as they search out and cleanse any remaining Orks left on the planet in a campaign of 10 new missions across three acts.

Golgotha

Golgotha is the fifth expansion pack set 50 years after the end of the Second War for Armageddon. Players control the Imperial Forces commanded by Commissar Yarrick as he hunts down Ghazghkull Thraka on the planet of Gogoltha, where a new Waaagh! is being created. Players control both Steel Legion forces, as well as forces from that of the Mordian Iron Guard, and will eventually be able to command Yarrick's personal Baneblade, the Fortress of Arrogance. The expansion pack features a campaign with 10 new missions.
