Moto Racer Advance has three different ways to race. The first is motocross, which puts in the player into an offroad track. The second mode is GP (Grand Prix), which is on an open road with no cars. Traffic is the last mode, and it is a road that has obstacles similar to those found in motocross. Each mode requires a certain skill to master the tracks (be it powersliding or braking at the right times, or a combination of both). To unlock other modes in the game, there is a Progression mode that tracks work through all of the modes in the game. Moto Racer Advance also has a multiplayer mode for up to four people through the Game Boy Advance link cable.
