    Overview

Tír Na Nòg is a 2D action-adventure developed by Greg Follis and Roy Carter, the two-person team behind Gargoyle Games. It was first released for the ZX Spectrum in 1984, with versions for the Commodore 64 in 1985 and the Amstrad CPC in 1988. The game's eponymous setting, more commonly written as Tír na nÓg (Irish: "Land of Youth"), is located within the "Otherworld" or afterlife of Celtic mythology. The player controls Cú Chulainn, a heroic demi-god in Irish legend who is often compared to Hercules.

Having come to the Otherworld from the land of the living, Cú Chulainn's task is to find the four fragments of the Seal of Calum and bring them to the altar found at the game's starting point.
