Gameplay
Similar to other online MMO shooters like APB Reloaded, Absolute Force Online offers character customization, allowing players to to dress up their male or female character in a range of outfits, including a "red plumber suit" that is more than reminiscent of Mario's outfit.
The game is split into seven different kinds of modes, namely Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Bomb, Capture The Flag, Zombie, Vehicle and Arsenal, which plays like Call of Duty's gun game mode.
In Vehicle mode, players have access to helicopters spread out around the map. Weapon cases on the ground give players a temporary rocket launcher that can be used to shoot down the helicopters.
The game is further split into two different kinds of rulesets called "Battlefields". In "Classic Battlefield" players can only play in first-person view, but in "Hero Battlefield" both first and third-person view is available. Once a player have died too many times in "Hero Battlefield", they will respawn as a Hero Character with highly increased power and abilities.
