    Overview

    Magicka: Wizard Wars is a free-to-play online team-based top-down action game developed by North and released by Paradox for the PC (via Steam) on May 27, 2014.

    A PVP-focused spin-off of Arrowhead's 2011 action-adventure game Magicka, players team up in online 4-on-4 battles (or one-on-one in "Duel Mode") as all-powerful Wizards (who have the ability to conjure powerful spells using the "dynamic spellcasting system").

    Although the game is technically not in the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre, it draws some inspiration from other games in the genre (most notably in its "Soul Harvest" mode, where teams have dedicated bases that must be destroyed after a certain point in the game).
