    The PAX East Indie Showcase

    No Caption Provided

Formerly known as the Boston Indie Showcase, it highlights a number of indie mobile games from around the world (not just New England as in 2010 and 2011). Developers who do not have a traditional deal with any specific publisher nor funded by an outside source are eligible to submit games to the panel of judges. The development team must have no more than fifteen members, the game must be at least in beta, and must run on iPhone, iPad, Android, or Windows Phone. Winners are given four exhibitor badges and space in the expo hall to demo their game.

Previous games featured in the Boston Indie Showcase include Super Crate Box, Snapshot, Slam Bolt Scrappers, Spaceteam, and SpellTower.

After each round, some participants are eliminated. Each year, the final game is held secret until moments before the final two Omeganauts enter battle. At PAX East, the tournament features teams of two that stay together through to the end of the Omegathon. The winner gets an all expense paid trip to Gamescom in Germany.
