Forest of Evil centers around an assassin from the crusades in the year 1291 as he makes his long journey home now that the warring to which he had been called has come to an end. He decides to take the long path home through unfamiliar lands, but little does he know that he is about to stumble upon a land filled with a deep evil. This game consists of 9 unique levels each with their own boss that can be completed in a somewhat nonlinear fashion as you only need to complete 5 levels to beat the game. This offers some re-playability since you need to take different paths while going through the game to experience each level. This game also has a hard mode which unlocks once you've beaten the game once, and a boss rush mode which unlocks after you've defeated every boss at least once.
