Two athletes are pitted against each other in a grueling battle of special abilities, mind games, and throwing discs. It will blow you away.
Are you guys getting sick of Windjammers?
It sure is. The site has become pretty stale overall to be honest.
It is turning from guys playing fun games and usually just paying attention to the conversation, to guys playing video games and Rorie or Drew saying a non-sequitur every 5 to 6 minutes.
Not yet but I'm getting there. If only they would mix up things a little bit and play Money Puzzle Exchanger, Speedrunners and Samurai Gunn between Windjammers.
I don't know. It's been a while since I've watched more than 5 minutes of a live show.
Maybe it's something you grow out of, but my fascination with spending 3 hours watching some dudes play competitive game is not what it once was.
It's just mind numbingly tedious, you know?
I could just watch a random twitch stream if I liked that.
And I gotta believe I can spend 3 hours better than that.
I was done with it after the first stream, to be honest. Any time I turn on a livestream and they are playing/are about to play Windjammers I just turn it off.
I'd prefer more Battle Tetris or Dollars Grid Exchangement, but I don't dislike Windjammers. Even more than those previous 3 games, though, I'd like new stuff. But Battle Tetris actively keeps me watching, whereas I use Windjammers as time to read news or browse Steam or something.
I love windjammers. Whatever they want to play that they can have a good time with is content worth watching. If they wanted to bring in a new game I'd love to see some super puzzle fighter action.
I use my right to not view Windjammers when I feel like its too much. Pretty much didn't watch most of yesterdays livestream, really.
There are plenty of local multiplayer games that aren't quite as drawn out as Windjammers has been over the past few months. I was somewhat pleased to see more battle tetris.
I like the conversation that goes on, but am tired of watching the game again and again and again and again...
EDIT: maybe that's an overstatement... the conversation basically just keeps me from shutting off the video and finding something else to watch or listen to. Maybe only because I like the crew better than any other out there.
I would gladly watch more windjammers over watching them try and figure a game out for 30 minutes on Fridays.
I get the impression that the guys don't especially like people watching them being bad at games, which is why they don't feel the need to play every new game that comes out anymore. Having said that, I'd be all for them playing the latest sports games no matter how good or bad they were at them. Still love windjammers though.
Tired of people whining about it like you can't skip ahead in a video.
You can't when you watch it live. Or can you?
It's a easy to pick up and watch game that's basically a fighting game dressed up as pong. I like watching it.
I think the last stream wasn't so hot but it wasn't windjammers fault at all. I think Bill Lambier really killed everything.

They always play it on live streams dude.
Tonight a friend and I watched the GB guys play Windjammers, and then we played Windjammers. It was great. But yeah... maybe its been showing up too much.
It would always be more interesting too if Jeff would cycle to other characters sometimes. The same goes for the 'why do they never remember to always ban the Ninja' situation in TetrisBG.

Time is relative, after all..
Can you get sick of Whoppers? CAN YOU?! Yeah, I didn't think so.
Whopper=Windjammer
I have, in fact, gotten sick of Whoppers.
I feel like Battle Tetris should come up more often, but then it's also good to have these breaks between sessions. Relearning how much of an asshole you can be with those powers is part of the fun/charm of the game.
And Iron Galaxy Studios needs to create a Windjammers update/sequel. Then they could play that instead.
Everyone who says they should stop playing Windjammers has probably never played Windjammers.
Or they're terrible people.
You Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball fans sicken me.
Truth bomb right here.
It took me a while to get into it, but oh my god it's so engaging. Jeff's run at the end of the 24 hour stream made me realize how people felt when they cheered for dominant athletes, like Roger Federer or something.
Don't get me wrong, love me some Windjammers, but I could use a little more Divekick, myself.
