I was looking at mine the other day (I switched it from Horizontal to vertical to see how it would look.) and honestly jsut realized how cool looking the thing is. It dosent knock you across your head with its sexiness, but It has a simplistic, nice look to it. The big Power ring, The exposed HDD, The concaved look, its Simplicity is what I think makes it look so good. Plus, the controller looks very Ergonomic and cool. It jsut has a rather distinct look to it I think.

Well mine is dead and has died like 3 or 4 times now so no I don't like the design.

It is sweet looking, i'll give you that. But the gamecube was like a lunchbox and i liked that.

Too bad the inside was design like shit. 

It's large, bulky, loud, and the custom faceplates always clash with the rest of the casing.  The 360's case design is utilitarian and nothing more.

I think it looks really cool

when i turn my 360 on it returns the favour....so ya i like the design.

It looks decent, I personally believe it would look  better were a little smaller though.

I don't know. Average sized white things like 360 don't do anything for me. The little, etty, bitty, Wii is even worse. Give me a glistening, shining, black PS3 any day.

yes, i like the design of it. i especially like my 360 as it is modded. the top of it is windowed so i see the inside of the 360. the hard drive is also like that sprayed black with some red. i have a fan that glows blue and another fan on top that blows air in.

Obviously compromises were made in favor of a convex shaping.  The disc drive is loud and has read errors, the system runs hot and freezes on occassion. 
 
The UI and the controller interface, however, are second to none.  And the system does pack a serious punch.  That is also part of design.

No, I don't like the design of the 360. The power button is stupid looking.

All systems are meh; they do the same job, they are there for you to play with.

Console wise, I like the Playstation designs much more. 
 
 But I love the 360 controller.  It's damn near perfect, IMO.  Nice weight, strong case, and the analog stick locations are genius. The bumpers are angled with the arches in you index fingers, and don't stick out like the Duel shock.   The D pad is now in a secondary location, like it should be. The trigger buttons are slimmer, unlike the DuelS fatties.  Seems that the PS controller was made for stupid people with fat hands.  But the 360's were created with hardcore gamers in mind, precious.  Like it so much, I use it to play PS3 and PC games now.   My preferred choose.
 
Which brings up another great thing about this Gen.  The current state of technology lets us do so much more, then we could 10 years ago.  It's nice to have so many options.  
 
Also, on a side note.  I'm on my 4th 360 console, which is already acting hinky.  But have never had an issue with my 360 controller.  Go figure. 

Eh, I think it's alright. I like the design of the controller, but the color on the Xbox 360 is really dull. I'm a big fan of different console colors, matte white just doesn't suit me.

The 360 is easily my favourite looking of the consoles.  My only issue with it is the colour.  It's a sort of a grey-ish/beige, as opposed to the nice bright white of the DS/Wii.
The Elite is better because of that, but I'm not a big fan of black consoles.
 
It would be nice to see them release an improved slim line version when they launch Natal, hopefully with a better colour pallete.  (and better insides).

I think the 360 design is completely dumb in every way. I still like the games for it, but the look of the hardware I am not a fan of.

It's not a bad design, but nothing that makes me terribly excited.

Outside, yeah it looks great.

Aesthetically I actually feel like it is the ugliest console of the generation. The white just doesn't do it for me. Thankfully there is the option to get faceplates, so mine has a nice blue and green thing going.

It's okay imo, I think the Wii is the most nicely designed console this generation, just you wait for the black Wii

As for the dashboard, I prefer blades.

Best looking system out of the three.  The Wii looks like a shiny Chinese DVD player, the PS3 was too bulky and kept that ugly design of the PS2s, and the PS3 slim looks laughably like a 90's Sega system.   
 
And Microsoft was smart to make the case SO easily removable, with the HDD on the outside.  Makes fixing and replacing systems a breeze. 

Dude, it's like an inhale, you know? It curves to show that it's a refreshing breath into the new gaming revolution. Ahhh.

yes it does look awesome, the curve is the best part. 
However the Gamecube beats it by having a GDAM HANDLE ON THE BACK =]

I personally don't care for its aesthetic value.
It looks too much like those ugly ass Dell PCs.

Controller, yes! Easily one of the very best controller designs in the realm of man. Console itself is nice and minimal, but not terribly exciting.
