Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is the second game console produced by Microsoft Corporation and is the successor to the original Xbox.
I got a weird message on XBL the other day..
"Your account will be deactivated in Jul 30, 2008 at 12:00 AM. To reactivate your account, send us your Xbox Live e-mail adress and password. If you choose not to reactivate your account by 7/30/08, your account will be deleted."
Should I trust this? The account only has 2/5 golden stars for rep (don't know if that matters) and doesn't have any achievements or anything. But it does say that he played Halo 3 on 7/21/2008 (this message was sent on the 25th).
And I just noticed that he spelled "adress" incorrectly. I sent them a message questioning the message but no response.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Got a picture for you guys, sorry it's poor quality, took it with my webcam.
"Probaly some 10 year old kid whose xbox live is about to run out, so by all means DON'T TRUST IT!"Oh I f*****g knew it. I can't believe I was worried about my account being deleted. I'm going to send that little punk a hate message.
This really grinds my gears >:(
It is not legit cause xbox support will NEVER ask for your password info. They will hijack your account. Report them immediately.
Microsoft only emails you information about account changes, and you will never be asked for your password. Never give out your email address or password associated with your Live account.
C'mon, dude. Microsoft doesn't need you to tell them your account information--they already have that. Only a little punk bastard trying to rip you off would need that.
Xbox Live is full of scams these days. Don't believe it. The kid cleverly made AccountSupport1 his account name to make you tihkn he worked for MS, and is now asking for your email and password so he can get your personal info, like you credit card, etc. It's a scam, don't trust it!
I would take a pass. It must have Microsoft sender(someone who works for MS) or not for me to do that.
"Sentry said:Well what can I say. :P"Send them a fake pw, then see what happens. :PNow that ain't a bad idea ;)

Because then, well, they might message you back saying it was incorrect, OR really remove your account, and then you could sue em and say it was a typo lol... something like that.
I believe that Xbox Live wouldn't contact you through it's message system and also, why would there be a 1 after AccountSupport? They can have any name they want.
"I believe that Xbox Live wouldn't contact you through it's message system and also, why would there be a 1 after AccountSupport? They can have any name they want."Good point.
Dude, it's fake, and all you have to do is wait until the 30th and see that your account won't be deactivated.
Ok, I'm going to send him this email and pass: "douthincimenideoot (as in do you think im an idiot) @gmail.com pass: noefnwey (no f*****g way).
I'll keep you guys posted.

"This doesn't make a good first post but seriously I have the common sense comparable to that of a stinking pile of horse manure but I still saw at first sight that that is a trap and a bad one at that.bu..bu..but I just wanted to make sure D:

If you for a second considered the possibility of that message being real....
If you would like to stop people from trying to scam you over Xbox Live I can offer you a filter which makes sure scammers will never be able to contact you again. All I need is your Xbox Live sign in details and password so I can attach the required software to your account.

I'm sold, what's your email address?
My XBL subscription recently ran out, i didn't receive an XBL message, but an email from them firstly saying that my account was going to run out in a month and to go to xbox.com to log in and get more time etc, or that it was going to end by the given date.
At that date they sent me another email saying that my XBL has ran out and if i want to renew my membership to go to the website and put more time on, they will NEVER ask for your details.. Same goes with anything really, never give out your password.
If you have any doubts at all, open up a fresh browser window, go to the website (eg. www.xboxlive.com) and log in without clicking on any links at all from the suspect email that you received.
Better to be safe than sorry!

/ashamed
Doesn't it say "We will never ask for your e-mail or password" when you sign up for Live?
I'm sure it does considering most, if not every site has that policy. They have it so people like AccountSupport1 don't fool people.
"/facepalmBut I thought we were buddies :(
If you want to know the honest truth everything on the internet is a lie!
(Oxymoron's ftw.)

"Do everyone a favor and report him, he'll probably get his box banned and we'll have one fewer asshole on Live. Will do.
