Edit: oops, spelling error!
A leaked picture is one thing. a trademark...quite another. It's kinda...well...I like natal.

Xbox 360
Platform »
The Xbox 360 is the second game console produced by Microsoft Corporation and is the successor to the original Xbox.
Netal to be renamed "Kinect"
Kinect is also mentioned in this leaked 360 Slim ad here
Kinect sounds more active than Natal, so I guess it makes sense. I don't understand the point of putting a code name on this product.
i dont care as long as the motion sensing stuff is backwards compatible with a LOT of their catalog. I would love to play a shooter and move my head left or right to peak around corners. If the bulk of the games are parlor games, then i won't buy it. I don't care if they name it, "SuperNinjaXtremePlayGo!" as long as it is backwards compatible.

World Premier of the “Project Natal Experience”, imagined by Cirque du Soleil.
Tuesday, June 15 at 3:30 PM on MTV, and at 9:00 PM on Nick at Nite, MTVu, MTV Hits, and Logo.
Where are you reading that it's tonight?
" Kin one, Kin two and Kinect. Doubt this has anything to do with Natal its probably that those new Kin phones will be able to connect to the Xbox. "Oh snap. Speculation ftw!
" @DVombatus:Jeff said it's being taped tonight and aired on Tuesday.

" "Kinect" says just as little as what the product is, as "Natal". At least Playstation "Move" gets the point across, somewhat at least. "One of the reasons I absolutely don't think Natal = Kinect. They'll stick with either Natal or the rumored Wave, but they won't change it to a crap name at the last minute.
Kinect sounds more like a wireless connection language thing with the Kin phones for MP3 and video streaming to the 360 than a camera based hardware controller.
Also the wording on the new slim stuff saying "Compatible with Kinect" is completely a unnecessary thing to specify if Kinect is Natal since we all know Natal will be compatible with all 360s.
" @Hailinel said:Sounds like an E3 show stopping announcement to me!" I was about to say I have no idea what the hell "Kinect" has to do with motion control, but then I realized that it's a dumb combination of "Kinetic" and "Connect." "Rats..I was hoping this meant that MS bought the rights to Kinetica.
"
" @Meteora said:Well, I found the original name "Revolution" to be way more intense and epic than wii but I guess this new name for natal will grow on everyone (>_>)" At this point I'm too used to saying Natal to say something else. "This is what people said when the Wii got a name change. "
@Spoonybard37: I am sure it will after millions of dollars in marketing!
Edit: technically today, for me. June 14th.
It's official. USA Today broke the story.
