I don't know many people who even PLAYED the first one, but I enjoyed it.  My cousin and I have played that game every holiday we get together.  Every unlockable move and such just makes the combat that much more fun for us.

So anyways, anybody out there that liked the first and is going to get this one on day one?

My b-day is about a week before it releases, so I'm gonna try and hold back some money just for this.

    Can't wait!

Absolutely. The combat's a little messy (Im hoping they fired whoever thought it'd be a good idea to use the same button for picking up items and grabbing people) but the narrative is pretty good and there's lots to do, and maybe the most f-bombs in a single game ever.

serious F-bombs.  Not a reason I enjoyed it, really.

The story was good.  The combat wasn't as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be either.  Just a few days until 2 is out!  I'm so excited.  Gotta beat the rest of the first so I'm not playing catchup with the story.

I liked it.  And I will be getting Yaluza 2 first day.:D

Oh and don't worry about catching up with the story.  Apparently the game will have flashback things to fill you in on things from the first game.  But then again it's a fun game to replay.:P

I found it janky and repetitive, but the sequel is on my preorder list, so it must have left some sort of impression on me.

Overall, I would say Yakuza wasn't very good. I wouldn't recommend it.

i really enjoyed the first one, but the combat will need some more variety for me to pick this one up, considering the pending release of games like Star Wars TFU

I think a lot of people never played it because everyone still has the unfinished Shenmue saga burned into their memories. I know I, and a few people I know, never got into it because we never thought we'd see a conclusion. Sure, that's say 5 people, but i'm sure there were others.
