Overview
Yasha is the brother-in-law of Asura, brother of Durga, and uncle of Mithra in the game Asura's Wrath. At the start of the game, he is one of the Eight Guardian Generals that serve Emperor Strada. Yasha is in a number of ways the antithesis of Asura. He is emotionally cool, level-headed and melancholic; traits that oppose Asura's seething rage and hot-blooded passion. The two both trained under Augus and joined the ranks of the Guardian Generals at the same time.
Despite their friendship, Yasha takes part in Deus's coup and betrays Asura. He also allows his sister to be murdered and his niece captured as part of Deus's plans. After the coup succeeds, he takes to wearing a mask, as though to hide his shame while at the same time believing that his sacrifices are for the greater good. It is his intention to allow Mithra to kill him once all is said and done, as he is certain that her vengeance will be deserved, and he will not deny it from her.
Yasha remains under Deus's command until he witnesses Olga prepare to waste untold amounts of Mantra energy in a desperate bid to kill Asura, and that Olga will have no qualms murdering countless innocent humans to gather more and make up the difference. Recognizing that the cause he hand joined is unjust, Yasha thwarts Olga's plan and is branded a traitor.
