Background and Story

Previously Wiseman in the .Hack quadrilogy and a friend of the player behind Ovan, his knowledge and skill in hacking led CC Corp to hire him as a part of Project R.A. Cautious and calculating, he is disliked by some players like Haseo (and, briefly, Kuhn) for his cold exterior, but his concern for The World and its inhabitants is genuine if poorly expressed. He played a pivotal role in saving the players from the AIDA server and limiting AIDA's spread outside of The World, as well as aiding Haseo against Cubia after the Rebirth.
 
He is Pi's superior and trusted administrator in CC Corp, owning a significant number of stock. Email conversations reveal that he is slow to trust partly because many people pursued him for the wealth he gained thanks to his analytical nature.
