Acclaim Studios Manchester was previously known as Software Creations. They went out of business prior to Acclaim dismantling.

Software Creations was originally founded in 1987 and much of their work was solely porting games. Later they began developing their own games in-house and in May 2002, Acclaim Entertainment purchased them and changed their name to Acclaim Studios Manchester. The studio was closed just prior to Acclaim going out of business. 
 
Their most popular games are arguably Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos and it's sequel, Equinox.
