    FortressCraft

Since the initial success and publicity from the beta of the voxel revival, due to Minecraft, Adam Sawkins directed his independent studio, ProjectorGames, to develop a video game clone inspired by said title. His game, titled FortressCraft, would incorporate many of the elements of Minecraft, but with a greater emphasis upon building custom creations, rather than standardized voxel formations. This game was released as an episodic title on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Despite the financial success of the game, the game having made well over a million dollars to date, FortressCraft and Sawkins gained harsh criticism from critics, consumers and fellow game designers alike, including Minecraft creator Markus Persson. Since then, Sawkins has conducted interviews specifically targeting Persson and the Minecraft community, as well as Twitter attack posts on a daily basis.
