How the mighty have fallen...actually, yet another garbage movie-based game

Rebellion Developments is known for making earlier AVP games and the Sniper Elite series and published by Sierra Entertainment. But this based on the ugly and horrendous film of the same name is not one of theirs to keep. Unlike that boring movie, you can actually see the action going on in the screen!!!

So, in the game, a Predator ship crashes in nearby Gunnison, Colorado in the near future of 2010. The Xenomorphs that are contained inside it begin to attack the town's population, prompting the arrival of the National Guard. Not the US Army, not the Colonial Marines I know and love, either, but the National Guard. An elite Predator, Wolf, has been sent to eliminate all of the Aliens, and a three-way battle ensues.

While the graphics and sound design are at least decent by PSP standards in this game, you can only play as a Predator and not as an Alien or a human, unlike the previous AVP games. It feels like a poor man's version of Predator: Concrete Jungle, for reasons that will be elaborated.

It's WAY too easy. Your health and energy regenerates way too fast. Also, xenomorph acid blood somehow does not injure you! There are upgrades for your weapons and abilities, but they're pretty much pointless. The lackluster story and bland environments add up to the badness of this game as well.

The combat is boring as Ghost Recon caused by a lack of special moves, God-awful AI, and as already pointed out, your character is near-invincible. The final boss is unbelievably disappointing. Rather than fighting the Alien Queen, you fight... a military helicopter.

I have nothing else other to say than please don't play this game, makes you wanna run over your PSP with a tank or a Colonial Marines APC or something.
