Armor Blitz is a free-to-play mobile strategic role-playing game with in-app purchases, developed by Gaudium. The game ran its global beta stage on ''August 27, 2016'' for Android devices. The game is currently available in English, but can be downloaded globally.
The premise of the game lets you take command of an army of "tank girls" from the World War II era. Each character is drawn in the anime art style.
''Armor Blitz '' is a mixture of various genres. There are story elements expressed through visual novel style dialogue that are unlocked as the player progresses through the game's campaign. The campaign features the continent of Factoria, recently invaded by the evil Corruption. The cause of invasion is unknown, leaving the player to fight through the battles and reclaim the land. There are over 300 hand-crafted battles and more being updated through patches.
The battle scenarios feature a mixture of real-time strategy and card collection. Players utilize a deck of tank characters up to 15 units. The player can also unlock various abilities that can be deployed to assist the units. Both units and abilities are used by dragging the respective card onto a location on the battlefield.
The player needs to gather resources (Oil, Metal, Currency, and Cores) to progress through the game. These resources can be gained through nodes scattered throughout the world map. After unlocking a node, it will generate resources over time that the player can collect.
''Armor Blitz'' has been under development since early 2015. The game was featured on the Square Enix Collective in September of 2015 for a month long cohort. The core team producing the game is consisted of 3 people. The game continues to receive content patches as the developers build out more characters and content.
