More and more console games are also coming to the PC, but some heavy hitters remain elusive. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes will not be among those games, however.

A Metal Gear-related event is happening at Gamescom as I write this, but Konami Europe updated its website a tad early. Oops. We should hopefully have more details on Metal Gear's expansion onto the PC soon.

Wait really? What the fuck. I'm a huge fan of the Metal Gear series and I'm stoked that it's finally coming back to PC. There's no reason to not be happy a game is playable by more people.

I don't get that mentality. Modding is one of the biggest reasons I love PC gaming, even if most mods end up being either unbalanced or terrible - that top 5% is worth it.

That said, it's still coming to PS4/XB1, so they don't really need to play the PC version if they don't want to.

I really hope the barely speaking Snake and the silent NCPs are just a placeholder for when the game is being polished up and VO is being recorded. Otherwise it's going to be a bit odd playing a game where nobody speaks but they have a realistic Horse-shit physics
