Nintendo to Stream Big Wii U Event Tomorrow [UPDATED]

I can't think of any good reason to buy it. Nintendo 1st party games used to be great, but they're just tired out franchises now, and the controller looks fine, but I doubt many developers will want to develop great games for one system's control scheme...

If the WiiU is $300 at launch, expect next-gen competors to be pushing $500.

Prediction: I still totally won't care at all about the Wii U and will probably only buy one when it is like $5 and has a Fire Emblem game.

Last Sunday of November, 250 dollhairs. Also predicting the launch and first year will be a disaster, which is a shame because it already has a far better lineup than the Wii did. Also, a controller that actually seems useable.

The bosses frown on my watching video game conferences at work, so I'll be catching the highlights when I get home. Hopefully, Nintendo can improve the image of the Wii U by showing something of note. Recycled PS3/360 games and more Mario doesn't do it for me personally, but I'm still curious to see what it offers.

I predict I won't be buying a Wii U.

I'll be changing my car, buying a new motherboard and Ram maybe even a graphics card and SSD... and after, maybe a next gen xbox or ps4, but not a Wii U... and that's the next 24 months buying already sorted.

Last prediction? Lots of U gonna be in this mess.

They better show some fucking games. Not the Nintendoland bullshit we got back at E3.

I'll probably get it. The limited amount of console gaming I do now seems to mostly be Nintendo stuff so might as well keep that going. Though I got this SNES to keep me occupied for a while.

$250, sparse launch line up, takes a good year to get rolling, then becomes a huge hit, etc.

Basically, every product launch for Nintendo since the DS.

$250 at the lowest. Second tier with NintendoLand. Third tier with NintendoLand and a Wii remote+nunchuk.

Going to be a crazy nut job and wait outside of GameStop so I can pre-order this thingy tomorrow.

are tthey going to say they have more than 2 games that would make me want to buy a wii this year and not wait like the fucking 3ds that had no games either.

Then again the crap n64 had no games so I guess that is asking to much.

oh and that That wii u box art and logo is horrible the white boxes looked good this does not. go back to the fucking SNES style of boxes nintendo those was the best looking boxes you ever had. Hell the fucking gamecube used the same concept as the SNES boxes and they looked good.

seriously nintendo what is this crap did you fucking lay off all your box artist or did they just get stoned and cant tell colors or design anymore? or are you trying to make the thing look cheep for the price announcement tomorrow because it is going to be expensive and you want to make the thing look cheep as possible at the store?

We better hope those Virtual Console and Wiiware games are able to migrate over somehow. Hopefully Nintendo has the good sense to set the precedent going forward with all this DLC business.

Still don't get Nintendo bringing out their next console so early before the next Microsoft and Sony consoles are anywhere near, at least publicly, finalized. And, honestly, I just don't really care about it either. The Wii was such a complete and utter letdown for me that I just can not summon up anything positive about this. I just... I don't care, Nintendo, go away.

As for predictions, new Mario, Zelda, WiiU Sports Resort, and probably a new Super Smash Bros. All things that I also can't be assed to care about anymore.

Kinda insane how so many people (myself included) have just completely written this game off due to she sheer lack of power in it. I also wonder if the general public will look at their dust covered Wiis and think "Not this time".

nintendo things always seem more akward than other console event things, casue they keep thinking kids are watching or soemthing.

Prediction: The Wii U will be the new Xbox 720 controller, Master Chief will be in the new Smash Bros. game. and new Mario, Zelda, Donkey kong, and Wario games are all coming out first quarter of next year.
