I think this exchange between a couple of users on the Siliconera article is worthy of note:

User1: "Devil Risers" are the COMP gun-like devices that were used in the Devil Children series, kinda sounds more of a contraction of that... hrm...

User2: A quick Google check says that "デビライザー" (EXACTLY like the trademark) is how it is in Japanese. I guess this is related to Devil Children/Demi Kids somehow. That's one sub-series I NEVER thought they would revive.

Isn't Atlus' parent company now Sega?

Index owns Atlus and Sega owns Index. Index filed the Trademark.

Atlus seems to love games about devils and demons in general, sounds like a good fit.

So Sega in a sense owns Atlus.
