    Avatar FameStar is a Microsoft Studios program that allows for cross-game challenges in supported Avatar games for the Xbox 360 (via Xbox Live Arcade), rewarding players with special "Fame" points (for a cross-game leaderboard) and unlockable Avatar apparel for supported games.

    Overview

    The popularity of Xbox Live Arcade titles that support Avatars has spurred Microsoft Studios to create a separate, cross-game leaderboard and rewards system dubbed Avatar FameStar.

    Games that support Avatar FameStar have exclusive unlockable Avatar apparel (in similar vein to Avatar Awards), which is unlocked by completing weekly (and one-time bonus) challenges and building up a player's "Fame" level (which is tracked along every game that supports the program). Each game includes three unlockable rewards (based on their current level, from "Fan" to "MegaStar"), which can only be visible when equipped in games that support it.

    It was launched in July 2012, alongside the release of Wreckateer, with A World of Keflings and Full House Poker receiving special title updates to accomodate Avatar FameStar. As more games supporting it get released, all supported titles get another update to include the new reward apparel.
