    What are the benefits to the M4? The engineer gets it, but soon the class gets the M4A1. An automatic version. Why would I use it?

    The Russian engineer doesn't get the M4A1 until he unlocks everything else. Also, I prefer burst fire, so there's that.

    I think the M4 handles a little more accurately than the M4A1. I definitely prefer using it. It's a bit like the M16A3 and the A4 variants appearing since the same things change. It's also, as previously said, an easy way to let the Russian Engineer use the American rifle a little early.

    Whats the best Carbine? I've used the M4 till my 5th service star and figured I'd switch things up. Any suggestions?

    From what I remember the SCAR and the G36c are the two best weapons statistically. I used the G36c once and it was incredible, but I went back to my F2000 an overdosed on the joy of 900RPM.

    Yeah. I'm trying the G36c and am enjoying what I'm getting so far. Though I figure the SCAR might do more damage since it has a smaller clip.

    Ok. I like the SCAR more then the G36C because it has better range and accuracy.

    SCAR was nerfed in the last patch so it's not nearly as powerful now.

    Dunno why but I never enjoyed using it.
     
    For some reason I really enjoy using the MP7 with engineer. Its weak and useless as fuck but it feels good.

    G36c is the best carbine. I never really loved the SCAR either. It was OK but to me it wasn't anything to write home over.

    Even after the nerf the SCAR is still amazing. I enjoy using the M4 on the bigger maps like Caspian Border and Firelands, it's a great gun in both burst and single fire over med-long range.

    Does anyone find it odd that all the different pistol configs have separate stats but the M4's stats are shared with the M4A1?
