    Robert Bates, known as Bob Bates, is a game writer, designer and producer. He worked at Infocom from 1986 until it´s extinction in 1989. From there, along with Mike Verdu, he founded Legend Entertainment which lasted until 2004. He then occupied several positions at IGDA, including Chairman. He left IGDA to work in a "dream project" (as mentioned in IGDA's press release).
