Camels are often used as transport in order to easily traverse sandy environments.

Camels can be found in hot, arid environments. They can be found in one or two hump varieties, and water is stored within these humps. This allows them to go days without needing a drink of water. Camels have long eyelashes which prevents sand from getting into their eyes. These attributes make camels useful desert mounts.
