A somewhat loquacious security guard in Rubacava, Carla is one of many female characters in Grim Fandango to express a possible sexual interest in Manny. Manny's interest in her, however, lies primarily in the fact that she has one fine metal detector. Upon learning this, Carla throws the metal detector out the window, crying "Why is it all men are after the same thing, except you?!"
