CRYSIS WARHEAD, made for consoles 2 STARS

CRYSIS WARHEAD, basically in this game your after a ... dum dum dum.... warhead.  Whoop-di-doo, I bet you could not figure that one out for yourself.  But enough chitchat about the title, this game is a stand-alone expansion on last years best looking game across all platforms (pc,360,ps3), hell best looking game (Crysis, not this expansion) in years.
Well, After having beating the original CRYSIS 6 times from beginning to end, I'm deeply disappointed with this expansion.  To start it off, the game has way to many firefights with those damn miniturized flying alien-heads.  I know that the game only has 3 main enemies, the koreans, the miniturized flying alien-heads, the flying alien-heads, but the MFAH are the most annoying thing to shoot at since those damn bats in the house of the dead series.  The game has way to many closed quarters shootouts with the 3 enemy types just to extend what little story and gameplay WARHEAD has to offer.  The free-roaming decide what to do on your time is totally gone from the original CRYSIS and your forced to follow this linear path of 1 or 2 choices of how to approach and finish off your enemies.  The new dual wielding mini gun and the 6-socket gernade launcher are way too powerful and takes out enemies like nobodies business.  These new weapons make the game way too easy and the game gives you plently of these ammo types.  The new vehicles are also too damn powerful and built like a wall, ground vehicle that resembles a tank, takes in damage like no tomorrow and so does the hovercraft ( the hovercraft doesn't have weapons).  The suit is basically the same from CRYSIS and this time, you don't even have to pick up the weapons yourself, its automatic which is a good thing I guess.
What about the graphics and how they've said to us about how they have optimized this SOB to run on anything with a core2duo and 8800gt with 2 gig ram.  That statement is ... dum dum dum...  WRONG.  I don't know what game this is anymore, really this game doesn't feel like the same CRYSIS that I played during WARHEAD.  Yeah, I played CRYSIS and CRYSIS WARHEAD at the same time to compare what has changed and believe me this game is nothing like the original.  The explosion are hella cheaper with ridiculously exaggerated lighting effects to remove out the reduced physics on all explosions (go and take out the hummer in both games and you'll see what I mean).  The character models clothing have been reduced significantly.  The anistrophic filtering (draw distance basically) has been tweaked to a point where nothing looks the same ever 10 feet.  Let me clarify that, every 10 feet an object looks different and less detailed on all aspects.  This trick is done in all games, but its done too severly in this expansions and the original was no where near as cheap looking as this game.  Shooting something from a ridiculous distance like around half a mile-mile in-game used to be soo freaking awesome in CRYSIS, in CRYSIS WARHEAD that option does not exist.  God, I almost forgot the newest and most retarded thing ever, enemies literally appear out of thin air in WARHEAD.  Whenever a big shootout is about to happen, there is a purple colored gas that emits on your screen and out of the fog you see enemies on your radar appear and they keep coming from the vicinity of the area.  As I entered the fogged up area, enemies were popping out of thin air to artificially lengthen the amount of time I had to spend on shooting at the poor Koreans.  No, I'm not racist and this game has not been optimized.  This game isn't as pretty or open-ended as the original and feels completely like a console port if they had made one.

jvpde is right. With the writing style you use it makes the whole review look like a rant, which is sort of is after reading it. With a setup like that, people will disregard the whole piece of writing.

    use paragraphs man! lol.
Once you've finnished talking about one thing,  start a new paragraph. Preferebly double-clicking enter when you at the end of one paragraph and starting a new one. You should do this in order to stop as much confusion as possible for the reader, when changing the subject. I.E.: The transition from gameplay to story.

Let's start off with the value, you get a 30 dollar game with two very well put together components. Yes, it is important that the multiplayer aspect of Crysis Warhead, Crysis Wars, is separate. Since it's a separate application it means that the team can more easily patch the multiplayer component without having to worry about messing with the single player portion itself. Obviously Wars is going to be updated a lot more frequently than Warhead so this alone makes it a lot more efficient f...

A short but sweet ride 0

After playing this game to the end I kind of felt what I felt with the first Crysis. This is pretty good, but I think some people won't judge it on its own rights. A game that relies heavily on graphics to make a name of itself is bound to have it weighed more than it should. Crysis Warhead, like the first game just to a lesser degree, is not just a pretty game, it's a pretty game that's also a great game. What makes it so special are the nanosuit features. You can become invisible, have a boost ...
