    Crysis:Warhead

I hadn't played the original Crysis due to not being able to run it, however to celebrate my new high powered gaming computer i picked up Crysis:Warhead.

The game follows one the characters from the original Crysis named Psycho who is a wise cracking Brit,
The game takes you through a story that runs parallel to the events of the original game.

I haven't Played the original Far Cry either so i had no previous experiences with Crytek's games before now.
The best way to describe Crysis:Warhead is its basically the Movie adaption of Crysis, featuring Key locations and moments similar to an action movie.

The Game plays like a normal FPS with two key differences-

    • It Features wide open and detailed environments allowing you to approach your objectives the way you want.
    • It utilizes a unique power suit system that allows you to switch to different modes on the fly, the cost of this is that you must actually think about your attack plan and use battle tactics to take on the Many Korean soldiers and Aliens throughout the 12 Hour Single Player mode.

The combat is fairly normal fare for a FPS game featuring scripted battles and a large variety of realistic weaponry.
The game features about 10 unique and exiting levels ranging from A hovercraft chase across and Icy Wasteland to fighting on a moving train traveling across the tropical island where the game is set.
The game features an Epic and exciting musical score that helps immerse you and adds to the Action Movie feel of the game.
The game suffers from a weak opening level and a short length of the single player.

The game also features a multiplayer component named "Crysis Wars" which is a blast to play when you have enough people to fill up  the HUGE multiplayer maps.

All in all Crysis:Warhead is a great addition to Cryteks library of technically amazing First Person Shooters and i recommend picking the game up and taking on some Korean Muppets.

Let's start off with the value, you get a 30 dollar game with two very well put together components. Yes, it is important that the multiplayer aspect of Crysis Warhead, Crysis Wars, is separate. Since it's a separate application it means that the team can more easily patch the multiplayer component without having to worry about messing with the single player portion itself. Obviously Wars is going to be updated a lot more frequently than Warhead so this alone makes it a lot more efficient f...

A short but sweet ride 0

After playing this game to the end I kind of felt what I felt with the first Crysis. This is pretty good, but I think some people won't judge it on its own rights. A game that relies heavily on graphics to make a name of itself is bound to have it weighed more than it should. Crysis Warhead, like the first game just to a lesser degree, is not just a pretty game, it's a pretty game that's also a great game. What makes it so special are the nanosuit features. You can become invisible, have a boost ...
