I went to the painting world today and conquered it. I would have to say it is my favorite place in the whole game.
Dark Souls
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Sep 22, 2011
A quasi-sequel to From Software's action-RPG Demon's Souls, set in a new universe while retaining most of the basic gameplay and the high level of challenge. It features a less-linear world, a new checkpoint system in the form of bonfires, and the unique Humanity system.
Who's been to the painting world?
I did like it; plenty of loot to find there, too.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Cheap ass boss though, didn't have fire magic to make her visible, really hard battle.
I thought it was gonna be a difficult fight, but I ended up killing Priscilla without even getting hit. You can see her footprints in the snow. =P
That dragon and the bird people scared the shit out me. I also beat the boss with 3 chaos fireballs. It is pretty awesome, except for when the dragon bugs out and leaves half his body on the bridge. I ran around the whole place like 3 times before I found out how to fix it. Did you kill the boss on your first run there?
So the dragon bugs out? I did it last night and I thought they just left some unmoving horrific monstrosity further down the bridge to keep you from taking that route since the "real" path on the bridge opens up when you pull that switch.
I went there but did not kill Priscilla. She has my sympathy for being outcast. This is one of the many things I wish I could just read a story about. Man, some Dark Souls short stories would be pretty rad.
@TwilitEnd656: Yeah, It would be impossible without it. But I found it hard to judge the range and direction of her attack just by the footsteps at first.

I liked her as well... But in the end, I liked 30k souls better. I feel bad, but not as much as after killing Sif... he's so cool.

This
I'm pretty sure those legs are there to make sure you go the "right" way.

I clicked it but got nothing happend. I guess i still have to do something to open it.
In order to get there you need to get an item from a certain place. Yeah I know that's super vague but hey, DARK SOULS.
I got to this area and I may think I'm here a little earlier then I should be. Still, after a few hours it seems relatively easy enough since I found a good grind spot early in the level plsu there's a guy that always drops a large titanite shard. Not sure how to beat the boss yet though, at least without getting murdered. I know about the fire and footprint thing though.
That was a pretty cool area, aside from the bird people that stabbed my face off numerous times.
If you use a jumping attack on the remnants on the bridge, it will stand up and let you through.
I just finished getting through this area. Definately one of my favorite places so far, and I was just getting over the awe-inspiring vista of Anor Londo.
Did anyone else get invaded by a nasty NPC phantom in the painting?
Guys I'm stuck...
As of this writing I managed to kill the Undead Dragon but the end is blocked by half his body =/ I tried looking an exit and the closet I got was a big metal door that was locked by a contraption. The top had the soapsign and now I rolled into an area containing 1 soul item in a corner and it looks like there's no way out.
EDIT: Nvm. Managed to find a platform that I need to jump on and there's this big-ass fog gate I must traverse.

@supamon: You find out from an item description, I forget which one though.
But another item description tells you that Gwynevere isn't real? WHAT?!
This is what I was wondering. How does that work?
You guys are silly.
It's an UNDEAD dragon, so OF COURSE half of it's body rips off as it sulks closer to you to breath poison all over. Check it out next time you're there and fight it and watch this gruesome detachment. Brilliant touch.
Also if you have a big enough weapon - or even not - you should be able to do a jumping attack on his lower half and the body will kind of jolt up.

She's a construct created by Gwyndolyn, leader of the Darkmoon Covenant, who really runs shit in Anor Londo. She's downstairs if you take the central elevator all the way down. You can join the Covenant and hunt people in the book of the guilty if you have the Darkmoon Seance Ring from the Catacombs. If you don't kill her, of course.
I can't beat Priscilla for the life of me.... wtf
You don't have to kill her, you can just walk past her, i usually do that. She seems nice
