The original title was quite the change in pace at the time, and I personally am very excited to sink time in its sequel. It would be cooler if Death wasn't Kratos, I like it more when he points at people and they die, kinda like when Liquid Snake goes batshit crazy in Act 3 of MGS4.

Ha! The problem is that wouldn't quite translate into a sequel for the original game. However a game based around Death who is pretty much invincible could be very cool.

To be continued... When?! I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm still yet to play the first one, so I suppose I'm tentatively looking forward to this. I keep meaning to play the original, but I just been putting it off D:

I was so excited for this game i absolutely loved Darksiders, however, i heard some guys saying this won't pick up where the first left off?

Is it supposed to happen the same time as the first?

Around that time, yes. It's basically Death trying to figure out why War was betrayed and help him from the background.

Glad to see they're cribbing from Shadow of the Collosus this time.

I picked it up from Amazon about a month ago for about $5 (on a sale granted). I absolutely recommend trying this game out, especially if you're a fan of Metroid-vania, and or 3D Zelda.

Ah! That's good to know, but I thought we had an idea of why War was betrayed. Also I'm hoping we can put the hurt on Samael in this one, that guy is up to no good.

I don't know, this trailer doesn't do anything for me. It actually looks pretty silly.

That said, I'll probably try this at some point (I really enjoyed Darksiders).

CGI trailers don't do it for me anymore. Someone could make a decent looking trailer for E.T. on the 2600 and what would it prove? Bupkis!

I wonder how that will play out. I mean, there was no indication of that in the first game, so if in Darksiders II Death communicates with War or something out of the ordinary happens, it will feel like they didn't think it through. I hope it will be the opposite. I really love when stories are intertwined.

The part where he was jumping was... It kind of broke the immersion, but otherwise I didn't mind it. Too much.

@TheHT: Yeah man it looks that way, I'm stoked about that too! I really hope that this time, because we're all such bing fans of the first game, that this one will be seen in its own right, and not just as a clone... I like to be an optimist, I guess. I wrote quite a long piece on Darksiders, Darksiders II and Zelda, so if you're interested, you can go and read it; I'd be interested in what you think of my opinions! Bring on Darksiders II!
