I will say some of the scenes are pretty interesting. But overall, I am not sure what the end goal is here. It seems like I am just making choice A or B for random things.
I didn't get far into it last night though. Only past the first section. Which took ~2 hours. But nothing has been explained yet.
I just finished it a little while ago. I have to say, I don't think it was very good. Seeing some gameplay of this I was super excited, looked like some kind of modern day Myst. I loved the atmosphere, visual style, and promise of exploration, an abstract story, and some puzzle solving. And while all of those are kind of present in the game it also manages to fall short in almost all those areas. The atmosphere and graphics are soured by some truly janky animation and some of the worst human character models I have seen in a loooong time. That usually wouldn't bother me enormously but in conjunction with that this has some horribly unintuiative and clunky controls. The best part of this game should be interacting with the environment but it's totally the worst part! Other than that there is little exploration to be had, the map is tiny, there are invisible walls everywhere, and not much to see outside the main paths and there are almost literally no puzzles. There is some player choice in here, a few clever ideas, and there are some cool moments but this game totally doesn't add up! Could have been great but definitely doesn't add up overall
Yeah I picked it up but haven't played much due to Minecraft 360 release (not to mention Pixeljunk sale!). Seems interesting but GOD DAMN is the gameplay frustrating. I wanted the Move stuff to be all fluid and natural but it feels like I'm constantly fighting it. Still, curious to play more.
I played some of this, later on after they stopped the Quick Look, I beat a dog with a shovel. Then that redneck dude kept on harassing me afterwards. Threw me down a frickin' well!
What a dick.
I'll play some more tomorrow, and see where I fall with it if it really is just a good/bad binary thing. So far liking it, Datura is an appropriate title as it gets real trippy afterwards.
It's a really neat experience but it's kind of sad that most of the Move stuff feel tech-demo:ee. There are some nice spots where you really feel promise for a puzzle aspect but they don't do so much with it or flesh it out. it's wierd thing and it's over in 2-3 hours. I like the vibe it has but I believe the execution could been better. I also love the music. It's super nice.
so i was watching a videos about the worlds most dangerous drug and it comes from a tree which scientific name is datura the drug pretty much takes away your free will kinda funny considering the game throws you around places without knowldege of whats going on
