    DiRT 3

Game » consists of 12 releases. Released May 24, 2011

Dirt 3 is the latest installment in Codemasters' long-running Colin McRae Rally franchise. The game returns to the series' rally roots with dynamic weather, a career focusing on team-based racing, as well as introducing the freestyle event: Gymkhana.

Dirt 4 MP would be way cooler if it supported more people.

Whoops ment to say Dirt 3 in the title.

Like 30 or more. 8 seems low for a rally. I say they should have ditched having the ghosts and had more people in a match.

    Dirt 4 is out already?
I also think that 8 is quite low, at least 12 or 16.

8 is fine, 32 people on a rally-cross stage would be utterly pointless, and if you did a rally stage with full damage on, then the person that started 32nd would have to wait around 5-10 minutes before it's his turn to go, let alone the guy that goes first that needs to wait for the 32nd guy to finish the race before the next event starts.

@Ethan_Raiden: they could keep it to 12 or so on rallycross/landrush, and in the timed events you all start at the same time in some modes, so there's no waiting.

I could see them adding a few more opponents but it really doesn't matter. Your not racing against opponents in most race types, its actually you against the track and a clock.

More people in a match = less matches = more time waiting for people / finding games = less fun overall

You guys are nuts. If there are so many people in multiplayer, it would be rather a derby crash party than a race. I think that even 8 is too much since every amateur aims to slam in you.
