Holy Crap this game IS coming out tomorrow!!

#1 Posted by BIGJEFFREY (5055 posts) -

Confirmed by Major Nelson himself, I had no clue that this was even happening!!!!!

And the best part is that it is FREE. I will gladly go to CVS and buy a Delicious bag of Doritos.

I kind of thought the first one was fairly ok. For a free advertisement game.

#3 Edited by JacDG (2126 posts) -

I enjoyed the first one, it was pretty fun, sadly my Xbox just died...

#4 Posted by TheCreamFilling (1225 posts) -

Harms Way was better.

Better get a new one so you can play Doritos Crash Course 2!!

Man, those completely random caps persist in @bigjeffrey threads. Really mess with the tone I use to read the titles internally.

I never beat the first one. And I'd have to turn my 360 on to download it.... Nah, I'll pass. At least until the next time I turn my 360 on.

For a second I thought it was Dash of Destruction 2 and I was excited. Didn't really like Crash Course.

#9 Edited by ez123 (1965 posts) -

Harms Way was better.

Not even close. Crash Course was a legitimately good game. Harms Way was alright because it was free.

The major nelson link was pretty light on info. I'm guessing it's going to have some f2p stuff and not actually be free like the first one. Either way, glad for more Crash Course.

It would be pretty awesome if the servers for this game weren't completely broken

#11 Posted by mabber36 (129 posts) -

this was the first time I was hyped for a xbla game all year, but I can't play it because I'm a dirty free peasant

I will remember this come next gen, microsoft

I agree, it was fun shooting up cars/avoiding getting shot up. Though I had a lot of fun with crash course I feel like Crash Course had more content.

pretty sure the original was open to silver members.

I remember the Toyota Yaris game was pretty okay too... What was it? Yaris Revenge?

#16 Edited by Morbid_Coffee (955 posts) -

Nobody is asking the hard and important questions yet. Can I order Doritos from my Xbox through Crash Course 2?

Also secret shame: I still have Yaris on my HD and will never remove it because I'll never be able to download it again.

#17 Posted by McTangle (157 posts) -

That first game was one of the best XBLA games. It's just a shame the multiplayer replaced the hilarity of 4 avatars at once with some fucking stupid-ass cards hanging in the background, like...what?

Anyways, it's just a shame my eighth brick-box is dead. Long Live Crash Course

#18 Posted by Baillie (4181 posts) -

So, can anyone actually get the game to load?

You would, but you'd have to find it in your Download history. So yeah, it is essentially gone forever.

Yeah, I reinstalled it like a month ago. Some of the download history stuff seems to be gone forever(it just says content not available) but that nightmare is still there.

Crash Course is the ultimate Doritos game. My friends and I actually played a lot of the multiplayer, fun stuff.

Yaris was the first XBLA game I downloaded and I thought it was okay. >_>

Harms Way was a lot of fun, but I never would have played Crash Course if it wasn't free. I barely played it when it was.

#24 Posted by MikeydCT (565 posts) -

woooo free points is it 200 or 400?

#25 Posted by icytower38 (464 posts) -

If only the damn servers worked right now

#26 Edited by Rotnac (770 posts) -

yeah, game servers are broken still...

#27 Edited by fazzle (305 posts) -

Well it turns out the wait for the servers wasn't worth it. They've turned this from a free game into a free2play game, with microtransactions littered all over the place and multiple forms of in game currency needed to purchase everything. And I mean EVERYTHING.

Want to play stage 2? Gotta go to the store for that. Want the other half of stage 2's platforms to show up? Yeah gotta go to the store for that too

I've had a lot of games messed with. BUT HOW DARE THEY MESS WITH CRASH COURSE. THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR

#29 Posted by Mr_Skeleton (5144 posts) -

This game is a system seller, Microsoft should have pushed it for the next Xbox.

#30 Posted by BIGJEFFREY (5055 posts) -

My dream is shattered, micro transactions up the ass

#31 Edited by Trilogy (2655 posts) -

So much for GOTY contender.

#32 Posted by Levio (1784 posts) -

This game kicks butt

#33 Posted by eskimo (477 posts) -

That picture of Geoff Keighley is genius

#34 Posted by WalkerD (462 posts) -

The game is still insanely rad. The microtransactions are all optional. You earn stars for completing levels or challenges in levels and you can use those same stars to purchase any of the microtransaction shit. It's overreaction city up in here.

#35 Posted by cooljammer00 (1758 posts) -

So there's like half a quicklook up on Ryan's joke site.

#36 Posted by tombtha940 (23 posts) -

its by far the best free game ever on the xbla

#37 Posted by BIGJEFFREY (5055 posts) -

Oh, they removed the first game off Xbox completed from LIVE.

Also micro transactions aside this game is fucking awesome.

Great news, that's what it seemed like in the QL. Thanks for confirming it in your post. I haven't gotten a chance to play yet.
