I just popped in Dragon Age: Origins and I am encountering a strange bug of some sorts. The game loads the EA server check or whatever it is and it comes back with a message saying that the Dragon Age servers cannot be reached. After accepting that message the start menu does not give a star game option and nothing is responding. Is anyone else having this problem? I've reset the game multiple times and nothing seems to work.
I am playing on the 360 version
Dragon Age: Origins
Game » consists of 20 releases. Released Nov 03, 2009
Dragon Age: Origins is an epic fantasy role-playing game featuring a rich story, personality-driven characters, and tactical, bloody combat. It is considered a spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate series.
Dragon Age: Origins Unplayable?
They were having scheduled maintenance earlier today. May still be going on. Haven't thrown in an EA game today yet.
Happened to me with Mass Effect 2. Though it is RIDICULOUS that you can't press start game if the servers are down. They need to patch that. What happens in a few years time when the EA servers no longer support Dragon Age or a similar event. Lame

Giantbomb is a pretty good website but for troubleshooting, this community aint worth much." @Br3adfan said:Very original. "" I am playing on the 360 version "Here's your problem. "

I too had that happen often, but for me it didn't affect anything. I was still able to play my game and access my DLC. However, the game is unplayable on PS3. I first played it on 360 and started out as a Dalish Elf and was like WTF, this looks like a PS One game. Then I went out and bought the PS3 version and the graphics were a lot better, but there was so much lag that it rendered the game unplayable for me. So, I went back to the 360 version and started as a human and the graphics weren't too bad, the forests really suck though. On my first play through of the 360 version I was about 13 hours into it and realize that I fucked up my party big time and wasted the stat points on useless shit so I had to restart. The PC version is excellent though. I have an iMac and would play it through bootcamp on XP and it was very good. I just recently ordered an Alienware for my gaming pc so I'm waiting for that so I can really start playing some Dragon Age: Origins.
" This happened a couple of days ago to me. Just took the 360 offline and everything was fine. I don't understand the people hating on the 360 version; it's bloody fantastic. "Don't get me wrong. I dont hate it, but the console versions are the weaker versions of this game. PC is where its at.
