Man, after being immersed in the game over the weekend, I'm now
listening to samples of Big Band music on Amazon.  LOL. Normally,
I don't think I ever cared about Big Band music before, but now here
I am, tracking it down, trying to find out more about it.  Find out who
the key players are, the best music, & on & on.  I really liked that
big band "Moon River" tune in the game.  Ring-a-ding, Daddy-O!
Hell, I've got some old tune stuck in my head for big band from stuff
my grandfather probably played & I can't even figure out who it is.
    The search is on.

Big band is the bee's knees.  Seriously, there is a lot of music from that time you might enjoy if you check it out.  Personally, I am a fan of Bob Willls and the Texas Playboys (Western Swing).  It's great to dance to and just feels fun.  Here's hoping this game will turn some other people on to some REALLY great music.

LOL. Sounds like it would be too exhausting to dance
to.  But I'll happily listen to it while I'm getting all up in
my seedy business in New Vegas.

I love Big Band music.  And Fallout is also awful for really getting their music stuck on you.  The same happened to me in Fallout 3.  I have a youtube saved list of all the Fallout 3 music.

But off my itunes list, here's some a few you might want to look up:

    Cole Porter
    Glenn Miller
    Tommy Dorsey
    Tommy Dorsey & Frank Sinatra
    Tommy Dorsey & Jimmy Dorsey

LOL. Yeah, it's pretty good.  I bought the album in mp3 format
off of Amazon.  It sounds Christmasy.  :-)

@Lind_L_Taylor: Thats really nice. I love i when classic artists do versions of modern songs. That Johnny Cash album (which kind of started it I think) was great. Its not Big Band style or anything but I love the cover of Nine Inch Nails.

Hell yeah. I'm always looking for music done in a
different musical format.  For instance, there is
Dub Side of the Moon, the reggae version of Floyd's
Dark Side of the Moon.  I think it's good to do this
to breathe life in those tired, old-ass rock songs
that I never want to listen to again anyway. lol.

I find it effing weird that you, for some reason,
feel the need to post your messages in this
bizarre format. I would suggest perhaps that
you have a touch of OCD.

@Lind_L_Taylor: Yeah I've heard that dub Dark Side of the Moon. I think that is the same band which has done the dub version of Radiohead's Ok Computer - except they are called Radiodread. I've got it somewhere on CD I think.

It was awesome to see this post as I'm a big fan of big band music.  My Pennsylvania bias leans me towards the Dorsey brothers, but I enjoy Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman as well.  If you get the chance, listen to "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You" by Tommy Dorsey.  Not only is it one of my favorite big band tunes, but one of my favorite songs of all time.  Reminds me of a previous place I worked at.

    Burt Reynolds, that's who.
